Warming Up
This project began with a meme I found on the internet. The sight of people stamping their feet to stay warm while waiting for the train on a cold winter platform seemed almost like they were dancing.
I developed a game based on this situation to make the moment more enjoyable. Through this work, I aimed to transform the mundane experience of waiting for public transportation into a fun moment, turning a simple movement to warm up into an exciting action within the game. The reason this became a meme, and why people were able to share fun experiences through my work, is likely because it’s a situation we’ve all experienced. I took those small, everyday moments that everyone can relate to and reimagined them as playful moments.
